Wherever you ride the FLHRSEI2 Screamin’ Eagle Road King, there’s always someone saying “Did you see that Harley come through?”  It’s hard to miss the Centennial Gold and Vivid Black paint job with “ripped” Burgundy Accents and gold leaf graphics.  And who wouldn’t notice that full-length tank console and matching mini-tach mount.  The spun-aluminum wheels are the essence of custom touring.  Check out that detachable smoked wind deflector.  Or the fat chrome handlebar with internal wiring.  Unfortunately for onlookers, the 103-cubic-inch Screamin’ Eagle Twin Cam never keeps it around long enough for a closer look.

A 103 cubic-inch (1690cc) Twin Cam V-Twin is tuned to provide more than 100 ft lbs. of torque to the Screamin' Eagle Road King. Approximately 3,350 examples of the 2003 Screamin' Eagle Road King were manufactured.

Based on the popular FLHRI Road King model, the 2003 CVO Screamin' Eagle Road King features a host of exclusive custom features and accessories from the Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories catalog.

The heart of the 2003 Screamin' Eagle Road King is the engine, created by combining Screamin' Eagle Big Bore cylinders and a stroker flywheel and rod assembly to the standard Harley-Davidson Twin Cam 88 engine.

Bore and stroke grows from 3.75 x 4.00 inches to 3.87 x 4.37 inches, while displacement is boosted from 88 ci (1450cc) to 103 ci (1690cc). Compression is bumped up slightly, from 8.9:1 to 9.0:1. The standard EFI system is reprogrammed to match the increased displacement while retaining the crisp throttle response of the stock Twin Cam 88 EFI engine.

The drivetrain is reinforced with a high-performance hydraulically actuated clutch, a custom oil cooler and a high-strength final drive belt. The result is a motor that meets 50-state emissions and sound regulations yet pumps out 100 ft lbs. of arm-stretching V-Twin torque at 3500 rpm, a 20 percent increase over the stock Twin Cam 88 engine. The engine came in silver with chrome trim, fitted with chrome Touring Mufflers with chrome billet end caps.

Custom touches include the hand-painted Centennial Gold finish with Vivid Black and Burgundy accents and a gold leaf fuel tank emblem. The frame, swingarm and footboard supports are powder coated in matching Centennial Gold. Wheels are solid, bright-polished spun aluminum.

I had a late model “Ultra” style Tour Pak custom painted

Centennial Gold and Vivid Black with “ripped” Burgundy

Accents. I also added the 100th Anniversary badge on the Tour

Pak lid and a King Tour Pak rack.  It has all of the storage

set it up with the “quick detach” system

On the standard detachable passenger backrest, I added a custom

”Stage One” kit that includes a high flow air filter, re-mapped

ignition and high flow Screamin’ Eagle exhaust

With that Stage One kit, I added Vance & Hines True Dual

Once I put the true dual exhaust on, that opened up the right side

of the motor area and you couldn’t miss that big black starter,

so I put on a CHROME high torque 1.4 kw starter

I also added a LCD digital temperature readout oil dip stick

Along with the detachable dark tinted mini wind deflector, I added
